| What to measure | Measure the full height and width of the area to be covered, including the frame and the flat surface needed for the fastening border. |
| Fixing surface | Check that the complete border has a suitable, clean and dry fixing surface. Extra wall space is usable only where it is flat and suitable for the fastening. |
| Cutting or resizing | Choose a finished cover that fits. Do not cut or alter the fastening border; this is not a cut-to-size glazing film. |
How the border fastens
Three checks before fitting
- Measure the full fitting area in both directions and compare with the selected cover. Measure each window separately; the two covers have different widths.
- Check the fixing surface and supplied fastening instructions. Test an inconspicuous area before applying adhesive to a decorated surface.
- Fit according to the supplied guide and keep essential ventilation and emergency escape routes accessible.
Can I buy a larger cover?
A larger cover may extend beyond the frame only if the whole fastening border can sit on a suitable surrounding surface. It cannot be made smaller by cutting the finished border. Send us your full fitting measurements for help.
Window covers do not replace damaged-window repairs, necessary ventilation or double glazing.
Results depend on your home, existing heating or glazing, fitting and use. No fixed energy-bill saving is guaranteed.
